Snowy Day Collage (ages 4-8)

Here’s what you’ll need:

Here’s what you do:

  1. Tear different sheets of colored construction paper into small pieces.
  2. Glue these pieces onto a separate sheet of construction paper to form a snowy day scene.
  3. Tear a separate piece of paper to look like your child.
  4. Paste this into the scene. (This will be the cover of your story.)
  5. On a piece of notebook paper begin a story that starts, “If it snowed I would ____ and _____.”
  6. Ask your child to fill in the blanks with action verbs.
  7. When he is done, ask him to reread the story to you.
  8. Staple the story to the back of the snowy day scene.
