Here’s what you’ll need:
- Paper
- Pencil
- Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
- Stapler
- Scissors
- A shoe from every member in your family
Here’s what you do:
- Trace one shoe for each family member onto a sheet of paper. (Make sure the shoe is fairly clean before tracing it!)
- Cut the shoe patterns out and label each one with the name of the person to whom the shoe pattern belongs.
- On each shoe pattern, complete the following: (Family member) went (verb)ing over the (noun). Each sentence should relate to Spring.
- Let your child draw pictures for each sentence.
- Staple the pages together and let your child read the shoe book to the entire family.
Here are some examples:
- Mommy went jumping over the puddle. (On Mommy’s shoe pattern.)
- Daddy went running over the grass. (On Daddy’s shoe pattern.)
- Baby went dancing over the daisies. (On Baby’s shoe pattern.)
