Groundhogs on Strike (ages 5-10)

This Groundhog Day, pretend that the groundhogs are on strike. They are refusing to come out of their holes to try to see their shadows. The groundhogs want to be paid for their efforts.

  1. Help your child write a persuasive letter to the groundhogs urging them to return to work this Groundhog’s Day without pay.
  2. Convince the groundhogs that they are appreciated and to remind them of the consequences of not doing their job.
