Daily Warm-up: BrainPOP

• This is my son’s favorite “movie” Web site!
• Science (we are going in alphabetical order)
• Will’s choice of a subject
• Will lists 5 things he learned for his book, This is How My Brain Grew Today.

Seasonal and Art:

• Carve a pumpkin
• Toast pumpkin seeds
• Ben & Jerry’s: Halloween
• Halloween games and puzzles (see Halloween Theme Unit)

Language and Literature:

• Silent reading: Will’s choice (20 minutes minimum)
• Reading: The Time Machine by H. G. Wells

Writing:

• Revise Will’s story about children dressed up for Halloween (picture-prompt 3-D stickers). (My child is a very tactile learner.)

Math:
