This is a fun activity to do on a rainy day while snuggled up with your child.

- Before reading a new book for the first time, look at the cover with your child and ask, “What do you think this story is about?”
- Next, go through the pages with your child and let him tell you what he thinks the story will be about.
- Read the story with your child and praise him for the correct predictions that he made.
- If his predictions were not correct, praise him for a good try and assure him that his reasons for predicting as he did were valid.
