The fourth Sunday in September is Good Neighbor Day.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Here’s what you do:
- Brainstorm all the safe ways to be a good neighbor with your child.
- Try to do at least one thing on your list for one of your neighbors. (Remember to teach your child to be safe around strangers!)
Here are some examples:
- Write a nice postcard with your child and mail it to a neighbor.
- Let your child write a thank you letter to a neighbor who has been especially thoughtful over the years.
- Rake the leaves or mow the grass for a neighbor who is going through a difficult time.
- Make a meal for a neighbor and ask your child to deliver it with you.
Picture book suggestion:
