Toys, Time, and Love (ages 4-10)

Here’s what you’ll need:

Here’s what you do:

  1. Ask your child to list his five favorite toys. At the same time, list the five toys that were your favorites when you were a child.
  2. Take turns sharing each others two lists. Compare and contrast them. How are the toys alike?  How are they different? Does one list require more batteries?
  3. Talk about why the toys are special to each of you and try to remember who the giver of the toys were.
  4. Play with your child. He will remember the time you spent with him longer than he remembers the toys.
