Here’s what you’ll need:
- Paper
- Pencil
- Toys
- Your child
Here’s what you do:
- Ask your child to list his five favorite toys. At the same time, list the five toys that were your favorites when you were a child.
- Take turns sharing each others two lists. Compare and contrast them. How are the toys alike? How are they different? Does one list require more batteries?
- Talk about why the toys are special to each of you and try to remember who the giver of the toys were.
- Play with your child. He will remember the time you spent with him longer than he remembers the toys.
