Baby Names (ages 4-8)

Here’s what you’ll need:

Here’s what you do:

  1. Ask your child to write “Baby names” on a paper bag and decorate it with pictures of baby animals.
  2. On a piece of paper, write down sentences that have animals with have different baby/adult names.For example:
    • A baby goat is called a kid.
    • A baby dog is called a puppy.
    • A baby goose is called a gosling.
  3. Cut out each sentence and place it into the bag.
  4. Ask your child to pull out a sentence and read it aloud to you or another family member and make the sound that animals makes.
  5. Repeat this until all the sentences have been read.
