Pipe Cleaner Letters (ages 4-10)

Here’s what you’ll need:

• Pipe cleaners (in a variety of colors)
• Scissors
• Glue
• Unlined paper

Here’s what you do:

1. Give each child several pipe cleaners, glue, scissors, and a piece of unlined paper.
2. Say a letter and ask each child to form the letter with pipe cleaners.
3. Tell the children to cut off any excess pipe cleaner from the letter and glue the letter onto the paper.
4. After the glue dries, show them the proper way to form the letter and ask them to say the name of the letter as they trace it.
5. Repeat with other letters.

Variation:

• Add wiggly eyes, feathers, pompoms, or other decorations to the letters.
