Place a set of magnetic letters on the board (or refrigerator) in alphabetical order.
Ask the children to look at the letters and then close their eyes.
While their eyes are closed, take one letter off of the board. Stand in front of the letters in case anyone is peeking!
Ask the children to open their eyes and guess which letter is missing.
Variations:
When the children’s eyes are closed, tap one child on the shoulder and invite that student to take a letter off the board and sit back down. When the children open their eyes they can guess the missing letter and the student who took it.
Make the game harder by taking several letters off the board at one time.
