Here’s what you’ll need:
- Colored chalk
- A sidewalk or driveway
Here’s what you do:
- On a nice day, go outside with some thick colored chalk.
- Call out a letter and ask your child to write it on the sidewalk or driveway.
- Repeat until all of the letters of the alphabet are written in chalk. (The letters should not be written in order.)
- To play with the letters and help your child get some wiggles out, say, “Go find the letter ___ and jump up and down on it three times!”
- Vary the activity for each letter. For example, you can ask your child to do jumping jacks or stand on one foot on a letter.
